Training Division at NIC Madhya Pradesh State Centre, Bhopal, was set up
during the year 1990 to meet the challenges of IT skill development in
various government departments across the state. Since its inception, it
has conducted a spectrum of need based ICT training programmes/courses
from time to time besides organizing several seminars & workshops under
the Government Informatics Training Programme.
So far, training has been imparted to more than 15,000 govt.
officers/officials at various levels. About 35-40 regular training
programmes are conducted every year covering more than 60
Departments/Directorates of the State and Central Government.
TRAINING SERVICES OF NIC MP can be broadly categorised as
1. SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES
These training programmes are targeted towards the
officers/officials of various state/central government departments
to impart them the necessary skills for information management and
dissemination. To promote the use of computers in Hindi, some of
these trainings are conducted in local language. At the national
level, too, Madhya Pradesh conducts the highest number of yearly
paid trainings sponsored by Rajbhasha Vibhag, New Delhi.
2. SECTORAL DEVELOPMENT/APPLICATION-SPECIFIC PROGRAMMES
These sectoral programmes focus attention on department-specific
application packages and Information Management Tools designed and
developed by NIC.
3. CUSTOMISED TRAININGS
These trainings are taken up on request or chargeable basis and
cater to the specific training needs of any user organization like
System Administraion & Troubleshooting, Computer Networking,
Web-site Development etc.
In every good organization, training of human resource plays an
important key role in its overall growth and performance. For NICMP
professionals, too, regular training programmes and workshops on
emerging technologies are conducted either at NIC MPSC or HQ. By &
large, these trainings cover various broad technology areas like Open
Source Technologies, Software Development Languages, Databases, Portal
Development, Networking, Technical Writing etc. Apart from normal
classroom sessions, other modes of communication like video-conferencing
& interwise are also being used to impart trainings.
The training division at NICMPSC is equipped with the state-of-art
teaching aids in addition to a lecture hall and a training lab. The
lecture hall has a seating capacity of 30 persons and about 25 AMD
Athlon based client systems are installed for hands-on sessions.
